Michael Garrett

Michael is the director of Corporate Strategy and Intellectual Property for Scynexis, a chemistry-focused drug discovery and development company headquartered in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Previously he was the director of Business Development and Ventures for BTG, a London-based technology commercialization company. Prior to joining BTG Michael was Managing Director of Genavent, a French life sciences venture fund Earlier in his career, Michael worked as a Patent attorney for Rhône Poulenc and as a research chemist for ICI (now Astra-Zeneca). Michael is a European and UK patent attorney, has an Honours degree in chemistry from Southampton University and holds an Executive Certificate in General Management from Cedep-INSEAD.
